How to create a template for sprites?

Like i want to have some pre installed npm/pip packages, how to do that? And an existing file system?

Anyway to bring up a template?

I agree this is a pretty core feature that would be great to have. The checkpoint feature only seems to work within a given Sprite. For now I think you have to script your new Sprite creation to get something like that, you can run commands to set it up either via CLI or API.
