No `packet` package in python3

The module gps.fake requires the package packet that is not available for python3.
Is there any workaround?

Having the same issue on my end. I can get packet by using packet-python-1.33, but then I get the error that packet has no attribute "new".

I never actually used the gps.fake module while I was actively developing on this. You may have better luck with https://github.com/tommyjcarpenter/gps-python3 who has forked this repository and made enhancements such as making it available via pip.
