Migration plan for placeholders in higher kinded type lambdas?

I started a discussion on the contributors forum, and just wanted to ask here what would be the migration strategy for higher kinded type lambdas with placeholders?

There aren't any plans that I know of to reboot this plugin for 3.x, but it's unfortunate that syntax didn't make the cut. I guess the two options would be "the long form" or a Scala 3 version of this plugin that adds the missing feature(s).
