open_basedir restriction in effect

I've been getting open_basedir errors using this plugin:

Warning (2): file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/00000/domains/test.com/html/app/webroot/index.php/img/cameron.jpg) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/00000/domains) [APP/Plugin/Timthumb/Vendor/timthumb.php, line 896]

Is there a particular reason this is happening? What is the plugin doing that would cause such an error to happen?

I've tried adding: open_basedir = /home/00000/domains to my php.ini but still get that error... Any ideas for fixes?

After investigating this further. It seems that open_basedir isn't actually the problem. It looks like Timthumb can't work with the front controller in webroot as it's got /index.php/ in the path which is invalid. Any thoughts?

@iamdriz can you please tell me if you are using the CakePHP's pretty-urls? Because index.php should not be there in the URL if you are using pretty-urls.

Yeah via .htaccess. All other URLs are working on my website fine via the router and mod_rewrite

Why was this closed? The issue is still there and the .htaccess file is fine.

@iamdriz can you send me your route configuration please? Also the plugin configuration along with the URL being generated for the image?

I've just made some changes to allow non-pretty URLs. Please check using the latest code and close the issue if it is working fine now.
