updates to the analysis plugins required some adjustments

This PR raises the minimal Java version to 17 and includes certain cleanups that the new language features allow for.
Addtionally, it adds support for the new Java LTS version 25. As this requires a bump in our analysis plugins which include new/improved checks, this also contains the necessary refactorings to make the build process pass again.
