I recently bought an OpenGarage built with an ESP-07S instead of an ESP-12F because the 12F's small antenna could not reach my wifi from the garage. Because the ESP-07S is missing the pin used to detect whether the hardware has Security+ support, I have added an option to override this detection, allowing Security+ to function when using an ESP-07S.
