The Library Management System is a backend-oriented application built to simulate real-world library operations. It provides a structured approach to managing books, users, and transactions while ensuring data consistency, efficient retrieval, and scalable system design.

🎯 Problem Statement:

Traditional library systems face challenges such as:

  • Inefficient tracking of book availability
  • Manual errors in issuing/returning books
  • Difficulty in managing large datasets

This project solves these problems by implementing a centralized and automated management system.

📊 Data Flow:

  1. Admin adds books and user records
  2. User requests a book
  3. System checks availability
  4. Book is issued and transaction is recorded
  5. On return, availability is updated

▶️ How to Run:

  1. Clone the repository

    git clone https://github.com/Puliteja2006/Library-Management-System

  2. Open in Apache NetBeans

  3. Setup database:

    • Create database in MySQL
    • Create required tables
    • Configure DB connection
  4. Run the application
