Thanks Matt. The canonical Scanning repository is now in DLS Gerrit. Are you happy for me to cherry pick your changes and arrange review and submission there? |

Of course Mark :) I hope you are doing okay. My suspicion is that the build will fail on travis. It looks to have gotten bit rot over the years. |

According to the build, DLS no longer publish the update site: https://alfred.diamond.ac.uk/opengda/updates/tp_dawnsci/releases/1.1.0/ Therefore the project does not compile due to missing dependencies. I am not sure if this is worth fixing or not, probably not from a DLS perspective unless it is just that the same URL has moved elsewhere? If it is not as simple as that, given that DLS have internal repo, I could perhaps rejig the build not to use https://alfred.diamond.ac.uk/opengda/updates/tp_dawnsci/releases/1.1.0/ but I am not sure who would gain by an independent build given that DLS are the only users of this project. I suspect the dream of a standard scanning syntax with NeXus support might have gone the way of the dodo until someone else is naive enough to try, not that other synchrotrons ever picked this up as it was too hard to compile and integrate with existing systems. |
