Description

Addresses UI/UX items from eigent-ai/eigent#1243 (v0.0.82).

Changes

Subtask (TaskItem)

• Text overflow: Text inside subtask no longer overflows; added min-w-0, flex-1, overflow-hidden, and break-words so long content stays inside the box.
• Border alignment: Single border on the outer container; removed inner border-b so the box draws as one aligned rectangle.

Settings – General (Preferred IDE)

• Preferred IDE section is a full card like Network Proxy (same rounded-2xl / bg-surface-secondary / px-6 py-4).
• Both Network Proxy and Preferred IDE sit inside the same content section with consistent gap-6 and description spacing (mb-4).

Chat – UserQueryGroup (Sticky Task Box & Other Messages)

• Alignment: Sticky Task Box and Other Messages share the same horizontal padding so left/right edges align.
• User message: pl-sm → px-sm for symmetric padding.
• Other Messages: pl-3 → px-sm to match task box and user message.
• File list under messages: removed extra pl-3 so it aligns with message content.

TaskCard

• Replaced pl-sm with px-sm on the task card wrapper for symmetric padding and consistent alignment in the left panel.

Hi @claytonlin1110 — thanks for the contribution! I reviewed the code and ran a quick test, and everything works as expected.

One small tweak could make this align better with the original “Preferred IDE visibility” issue: I don’t think the problem is the Preferred IDE box itself, but that the main content area doesn’t have enough bottom margin, so users can’t scroll far enough to fully reveal the box.

Could you adjust the bottom margin as shown in the screenshot (e.g., change it from 8 to xl)? I think that will solve the issue more cleanly. Once that’s updated, this PR should be ready to merge.

Hi @claytonlin1110 — I’m only involved in the review process. Wendong will handle the merge, along with the weekly release and marketing updates. I’ve already pinged him in our internal channel, and he plans to complete the merge today.

Sorry if there are any delay — we’ve had a heavy PR workload lately. That said, we do prioritize community contributions and try to move them through as quickly as possible.
