If we assume autoconf >= 2.69, then it may also be reasonable to assume, for example, automake >= 1.11. |

Would you prefer to keep these 4 commits as they are? To me, either of the following would also be reasonable:

2.69 is from 2012, should be fine. 2.59 is from 2003, probably nobody is testing if it is really still working.
