Summary of Changes

Hello @parthea, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request updates the default Python runtime version for the test suite to 3.14. This change ensures that the project's automated tests are executed against a more current Python environment, which helps in maintaining compatibility with future Python releases and proactively identifying potential issues. The update also standardizes the Python version used across relevant Nox sessions.

Highlights

  • Default Python Version Update: The default Python version used for running tests has been updated from 3.10 to 3.14.
  • Nox Session Configuration: A specific Nox session, previously hardcoded to use Python 3.13, now dynamically uses the DEFAULT_PYTHON_VERSION constant, ensuring consistency with the updated default.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request updates the default Python runtime for tests to version 3.14. The change correctly updates the DEFAULT_PYTHON_VERSION constant and uses it in the prerelease_deps nox session. However, the Python version for system tests has not been updated, which seems inconsistent with the goal of the PR. I've added a comment with a suggestion to address this.
