A short guide to my Machine Learning Journey

I have been doing machine learning on and off for last two years (since June 2022). I started learning Machine Learning on the suggestion of esteemed Prof. Abhinav Gupta (his profile). I did that in summer 2022 and completed Andrew Ng's Intro To Machine Learning Course (link). Then I didn't do anything in IIT. They just kept me busy with assignments and lab reports and in the free time, I kept myself busy with fiction. I returned home in December 2022 and started Deep Learning from AG's suggested course Machine Learning for Physicists (link). I started coding the first Neural Network from scratch. I struggled a lot with it and I had no one to ask to. (I didn't know about ChatGPT at that time.) So, I quit learning Machine Learning.

Then I went to IIT and again did nothing for one whole year. IIT somehow was not meant for doing machine learning. I came back home in December 2023 with a powerful tool that made learning easy for me (ofcourse I am talking about ChatGPT). So I committed myself to learning Deep Learning and I did great at that time. I coded neural networks for solving Quadratic Equation, recreating random functions. But then I wanted to code a NN that solves ODEs. I started coding that, couldn't finish and got frustrated and quit. I went to IIT for remaining last semester and did nothing. (Oh Darwain! I am hating IIT as I write this. Have this been during lockdown, I might have done a lot of Machine Learning.)

I finished my MSc in IIT and came home again in June 2024. I learned some Machine Learning Techniques. But when I joined my job, that's when it really accelerated.
