Hello; thanks for this PR. In #235 I improved the CI. If you get this PR up to date, you could add 17 & 21 to the Java versions there so we're tested. |

I tried building with Java 17 on Fedora 41 and encountered some errors related to concurrency in Jacoco and the Maven bundle plugin. I was able to fix these by updating the versions of those plugins, and the project successfully builds again.
