Description
This PR adds the Devcontainer MCP Server developed by AIQL to the community servers list in the README.
Server Details
The Devcontainer MCP Server enables dynamic generation and configuration of development containers directly from
devcontainer.jsonfiles.Motivation and Context
The mcp-devcontainers project simplifies development container management by:
Generating and configuring containers directly from devcontainer configurations.
Capturing relevant stdout/stderr logs from the sandbox and returning them as structured tool-call responses to the MCP client.
Use Cases:
Local Management: Control devcontainers in a Docker environment via STDIO.
Remote Management: Control remote devcontainers via StreamableHTTP or SSE.
How Has This Been Tested?
Validated through automated CI builds using GitHub Actions.
Breaking Changes
None. Integrate seamlessly using the standard MCP client configuration:
{ "mcpServers": { "mcp-devcontainers": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "mcp-devcontainers"] } } }Types of changes
