Context

Users can open one app from another, like opening Nextcloud Notes or Talk from the Files app. This requires a valid intent and action to work correctly.

Less technical is always better, so 👍
However from a reporting perspective it is still 2 different scenarios, so a non-technically person would mention it the same error message (and can give you logs) and you still gave the only data being: unexpected data, while the case of the intent being null could be: 'no data received'.

Could be a follow up, but also fine for the moment to leave as is.

The logs are different messages are the same, but we can add a separate error message for the null-intent case. I’m just not sure what that message should be, since from a user’s perspective, “null” or “intent” doesn’t really mean anything.
