Absolute Johannes factotum

SCP-4488 (?)
SCP-4488 is a seemingly ordinary small lake in Montana that, beyond a certain depth, opens into an endlessly deep, dark, saltwater ocean called SCP-4488-1, from which there is no known exit. People who enter SCP-4488-1 experience powerful illusions of sea creatures and other phenomena, which are not visible on cameras, suggesting a mind-altering effect. An exploration mission into SCP-4488-1 ended with the crew experiencing terrifying hallucinations, hearing an unknown voice, and ultimately crashing their submarine into an unseen landform, implying that the anomaly might be a sentient entity that wants people to experience wonder and fear rather than logical understanding.
Political Google bombs in the 2004 U.S. presidential election (?)
During the 2004 U.S. presidential election, a phenomenon known as "Google bombing" was used to manipulate search engine results for political purposes. This involved a coordinated effort by website owners and bloggers to link specific phrases, like "miserable failure" or "waffles," to the official websites of candidates such as George W. Bush and John Kerry. By creating many links with these anchor texts, they could make the candidates' sites appear as top results for those negative search terms. Google initially refused to manually alter these results to maintain search engine integrity but later updated its algorithms to make such tactics less effective, aiming for more objective search outcomes.
