Micro but still giving ~10% improvements on deployment times on our systems.

Looks like that only 783c731 is the one that impacts performance, the other commits are "just" refactors aiming better readability and less repetition. If I am mistaken, can you point the other bits that do impact on perf?

That's right, actually. Only the through_method_missing one has a small impact.

The other ones are performance-related (they helped a lot with the process), but are not optimizations.
