Tembo Azure Single Machine Deployment

Configure The Virtual Machine

Azure VM Console

You should first create a Azure Virtual Machine within the Azure portal.

https://portal.azure.com/#create/Microsoft.VirtualMachine-ARM

  • The "Subscription" and "Resource group" project details are up to your discretion. We recommend creating a new Resource Group for Tembo.

  • Please fill out "Instance Details" approparitely.

    • The Virtual machine name can be something like "tembo-1" or "tembo-engineering-1", however you see fit.

    • You may pick your Region and Availability Zone.

    • Security type - Standard

      • This is very important otherwise the Virtual Machine will not boot.
      • Do not worry, your deployment is secure.
    • Image - Select "See all images"

      • Select "Community Images"
      • Search for "tembo"
      • Select "base-nixos"

  • Size - Select the size of your deployment discussed with the Tembo team.

  • You may leave the other settings as default.
