Revert cppinterop update to 1.8.0 temporarily

Description

As discussed on discord, we shall be making a release with cppinterop 1.7.0 based on top of changes gone after the last release. And once that is done, we shall switch back again to cppinterop 1.8.0 (and that too can be followed by a release if required)
