Editors
The Editors section provides powerful in-game tools for customizing every aspect of your interactive chat experience. Access these editors through the Game Events & Cooldowns tab or directly from the mod settings menu.
Manage purchasable items, weapons, apparel, and resources
- Purpose: Control what viewers can buy from the store
- Access: Prices, availability, categories, and restrictions
- Use Case: Create custom item shops, balance economy
Customize available traits and their properties
- Purpose: Configure which traits viewers can acquire
- Access: Trait prices, karma requirements, availability
- Use Case: Balance trait acquisition, create themed trait sets
Control weather events and climate manipulation
- Purpose: Manage available weather types and their effects
- Access: Weather prices, cooldowns, and impact settings
- Use Case: Control climate events, set weather restrictions
Configure game events viewers can trigger
- Purpose: Manage raid events, incidents, and game occurrences
- Access: Event prices, karma requirements, cooldowns
- Use Case: Balance event frequency, control game impact
Handle viewer data, permissions, and statistics
- Purpose: Manage individual viewer settings and history
- Access: Coin balances, karma, purchase history, bans
- Use Case: Moderate viewers, reset data, troubleshoot issues
Customize chat commands and their behavior
- Purpose: Modify existing commands or create new ones
- Access: Command triggers, cooldowns, permissions
- Use Case: Create custom commands, adjust command behavior
Configure pawn types and Xenotypes (DLC required)
- Purpose: Manage available pawn races and genetic types
- Access: Race availability, Xenotype settings, restrictions
- Use Case: Theme-appropriate pawns, DLC content management
Manage viewer pawn assignments and queue system
- Purpose: Control how viewers get pawns and join the colony
- Access: Queue settings, pawn offers, timeout durations
- Use Case: Balance colony growth, manage pawn distribution
Balance game progression and quality systems
- Purpose: Configure research availability and item quality
- Access: Research requirements, quality restrictions
- Use Case: Control game progression, balance tech levels
From Menu Bar (Recommended)
- Load your RimWorld save game
- Look for the RICS button in the bottom-right menu bar
- Click the button and select any editor or tool from the menu
- Load your RimWorld save game
- Open Mod Settings → RICS → Game Events & Cooldowns
- Click any editor button in the "Event Management" section
- Menu Bar: Click RICS button in bottom-right corner
- Main Menu: Mod Settings → RICS → [Specific Editor]
- In-Game: Options → Mod Settings → RICS → [Specific Editor]
- Backup First: Save your game before making major editor changes
- Test Gradually: Make small changes and test their impact
- Balance Economy: Ensure prices match your coin reward settings
- Consider Karma: Use karma requirements to gate powerful items/events
