A few adjustments to make the majority of the test cases succeed on Python 3.14 on my machine.

1031 passed, 438 skipped, 8 xfailed, 96 xpassed, 151 warnings in 51.54s

Instead of opening a new PR directly here and losing the PR discussion, I opened that PR to the daq-tools fork so the CI changes can flow down.

I have the CI for 3.14 running cleanly running on my fork.
